| Named after the graduating class of founder, Dominic Restivo, Sr., The Class of ‘47 has been a staple in Balboa for as long as anyone can remember. Rumor has it John Wayne used to frequent here, that was way before my time!! It does make sense, the walls are filled with pictures of him along with a variety regulars from the past and present.....And a variety it is, the ‘47 is a watering hole for an assortment of drinkers, both young and old.... The term "dive bar" may make some cringe, but with the cheapest beer in town, pool that still costs only .50 cents, and a friendly, laid back atmosphere, we take pride in having "NO CLASS"! But don't be confused, The '47 is one of the few bars in the area with the state-of-the-art Internet jukebox – with the capability to play over 200,000 songs, you can hear almost anything! If you're into playing video games while you drink, we've the newest PGA Golf Live, Bowling Live or you can go retro with Ms. Pacman & Galaga!!
